Cheryl Cole announces she is splitting from footballer husband Ashley Cole.
Cheryl Cole has confirmed she is splitting up from husband Ashley in a official statement issued this afternoon. After numerous allegations of adutly Cheryl has finally given Ashley the boot. Cheryl Arrived back to the UK this morning after spending a few days in LA.
The short statement, issued at 4.15pm, said: “Cheryl Cole is separating from her husband Ashley Cole. Cheryl asks the media to respect her privacy during this difficult time.”
Cheryl, 26, had driven straight from Heathrow Airport to the family home in Oxshott, Surrey, to give the green light to the document.
The X Factor judge confirmed she is dumping Ashley — after he cheated on her with FIVE girls.
The singer had originally made up her mind last week but decided to fly over to Los Angeles to clear her head and get a different perspective.
Cheryl discussed her plans at great length with close pal Derek Hough, 24, the handsome single dancer who she has grown increasingly close to.
On Monday night she decided to stay over in LA and cancelled a planned flight while she continued to talk over her problems with Derek.
As The Sun revealed, Cheryl had text Ashley on Sunday to inform him that the marriage is over and to get out of the family home.
By the time she arrived home today Ashley had already quit. Ashley left the property — appropriately called Hurtmore House — in the early hours of this morning.

R&B superstar Ne-Yo has offered to give BRITs nominees Cheryl Cole and Alexandra Burke a helping hand to crack America.
The chart-topper already worked on Alex’s UK version of her album Overcome and is keen to do more on the new disc set to hit Stateside this summer.
Ne-Yo told me: “Alexandra Burke is a really, really, really talented girl.
“Everybody is always raving about her performances.
“I haven’t had the opportunity to spend any real time with her, but I look forward to doing that at some point before I leave this planet. If she needs help on her American album then she should pick up the phone.”
The 30-year-old Closer singer is hoping to land himself a ticket to the BRITs on February 16 as he has a day off in between his UK shows.
Manchester will get the live experience on the 13th followed by London’s Wembley Arena on the 14th and Hammersmith Apollo on the 17th.
And if he does get his ticket, then it’ll be the perfect opportunity to mingle with our British talent.

Cheryl Cole is terrified man-eater Vanessa Perroncel could have targeted her hubby Ashley, pals revealed last night.
The Girls Aloud babe is so scared that she has warned the Chelsea star: “Keep away from that woman.”
The singer is so disgusted by stories claiming Vanessa Perroncel slept with a string of Blues players that she now wants nothing to do with her.
Cheryl and Ashley were such best pals with Vanessa that while she was dating Premier League ace Wayne Bridge the couples holidayed together in the south of France.
But that all changed after French beauty’s fling with Blues skipper John Terry and rumours of affairs with other Chelsea stars.
There is no suggestion 29-year-old Ashley has cheated with Vanessa, and the lingerie model has denied the allegations of flings with Blues stars.
But friends said Cheryl is determined to distance Vanessa from her fella – especially with stories of Ashley’s own alleged cheating “very fresh” in her mind. (more…)

Cheryl Cole tried to keep a hotel stay secret by using the pseudonym MISS ENGLAND.
The singer, 26, was desperate for some peace and quiet during a busy week promoting her first solo album.
So her record company came up with the unlikely assumed name when she checked into a five-star London hotel. A member of staff at the £300-a-night Baglioni told The People: “We get a lot of famous people here and they can go to great lengths to remain incognito and avoid the paparazzi.
“We knew Cheryl was staying and we had to keep it low key – but using the name Miss England wasn’t very original, was it?”
The X Factor judge left England star husband Ashley Cole, 29, all alone at home in Oxshott, Surrey, this week while she spent three days at the hotel opposite Hyde Park, which has views across Kensington Gardens. Record company sources said she was using it as a base for a string of interviews to promote hit album 3 Words across Europe.
But Girls Aloud star Cheryl couldn’t keep totally anonymous. As The People found, above, she was soon spotted by fans when she nipped out for a coffee.
